I was on my way to an interview today when I missed an exit so I had to get off at the next one. It was a good thing too it exited straight into farm land and everything looked to damn green and vibrant so I had to stop and grab photos.

Anyways the subject of today’s photo is a 1985 Honda Civic 1.5L 4 door sedan the GL model with the 2 speed (with overdrive) semi-automatic transmission.

Camera: Sony Nex7 with 50mm F1.8 OSS (Shot wide open)

Ok so I’m getting back into this nice photos thing.
Today was a fun day out with Kat. Picked her up from the airport then onward to her home in Kitchener. Anywho so in Kitchener we were on the way to a park for a swim when the tree came up and I pulled of my civic for a small intermission. We didn’t actually end up having a dip in the water, turns out parks expect money for entry! On the plus side I forgot that landscapes and nature are pretty especially if it’s highly organized human managed nature. Farms if you will.

So again I’m using my Nex7 which is turning out to be a fantastic damn camera. My new favourite camera of all time ever.

Shoes (202/365)

Bike rides are always fun, always full of adventure and other things alike or something like that. Well when I say always I don’t mean this time. This time it was full of shoes, specifically this pair. Not sure who abandoned them or why, or even why they were abandoned in such a neat manner but they were. We biked by these and they were just by a neighbourhood and I immediately just stopped and got my camera out. .

They look like good shoes! Why would someone just leave good shoes!

Another photo taken on a bike ride. This was on one of my typical routes. I just so happened to come across during a perfect sunset.

The yashica GSN (the silver one) is a camera which I repaired from parts of another broken GSN the other day. It’s light meter worked but the viewfinder had a focusing patch that was completely unusable so I replaced it with one from a camera who’s meter was broken.

So if you don’t know pride day is coming up. I wanted to do a photo for it but I was also really peckish and I wanted sweats so I came up with this tasty dish. I went to bulk barn and busted out my phone to check the pride flag colors and a couple bucks in gourmet beans later BAM.

You’ll notice the base of the treats is not jelly beans it’s trail mix. The dish itself has also been raised by about 1 inch to provide a bit of seperation between the plate and the table. You’ll also notice I’ve been using this table a lot and that’s because I like the wood effect.

Electric eye (174/365)

So I had this camera given to me by Ricardo of Henry’s Mississauga a little while ago and I had originally intended to convert it to shoot 120 film or instant peel away film but there has been an issue. The metal used in it’s frame is damn thick and today I found out just how thick. I tried to operate on it and you can see in the centre of the camera there’s a hole, that’s because I had to break a part off today now with a Dremel tool it took me 15 minutes to cut away cleanly (key word cleanly) a 1cm piece of metal.

Anyways the cameras in the photo are a

Polaroid Electric Eye (the main piece)
Polaroid Land 180
Polaroid Color Pack II
Canon AV-1
Voightlander Bessa R4a
Yashica Electro 35
Canon F1
Ricoh XR-20

Camera: Canon 5D mark II With 50mm F1.2L

Strobist info: To the left of the frame behind the Polaroid bouncing off the wall behind the cameras is a 430EX (@1/16 power). To the right and in front of the Polaroid is a large softbox with a 580EX (@1/32) and there is 1 more 430EX underneath the cameras to kind of hide the fact that the white board the stuff is sitting on is too small for the photo (@1/32 power)

So today my family and I went to a CUPE picnic. Those guys know how to do a BBQ. It was fantastic. Grills the size of cars full of burgers and hotdogs :D That’s a great lunch. So before and after the eating we explored the park that it hosted and I found this stumpy treeish thing.

Century Graphic (149/365) on Flickr.

Via Flickr:
Century Graphic (149/365)

This is a 1950’s Century Graphic 6x9 camera. It’s my second press camera the first one from Graphic would be the full sized Speed Graphic seen in BOoOOOKKkkkkEEEHhhhhh to the right of the photo. This particular one uses the 101mm F4.5 Ektar lens, similar to my 4x5 (uses a 127mm).

This was bought today at a camera show, I was originally looking for a “23” Graphic back to use it on my Mamiya press Universal and there were many dealers who were selling that but they were all asking like 80-120 dollars depending on condition! This came with one of those AND a ground glass and the camera for 175. So what I’m saying is that for about 55 more dollars I have a very nice cap for my “23” Graphic back.

These are AMAZING camera’s by the way, if you ever have the chance to own one of these DO IT. They are the most fantastic value for money, there is no other 6x9 camera that will be as fun to use, and have as much freedom or as much modularity for so little money. The thing is also TINY to boot, it’s smaller than the Fuji GW690 and lighter as well and it folds up into a tiny tiny box.

Strobist: Canon ST-E2 controlling a 580EX (to the right of the frame bouncing off a wall), a 550EX in the rear lighting the background, a 430EX to the left of the frame as a kicker, and a 430EX to the left bouncing up.

Inspired by Clint Eastwood except the situation isn’t exactly the same. For those of you who don’t get it a pistol really only load’s rounds sequentially so if it’s loaded the next round will always fire.
