So it’s fun what you can find sitting in your car. I found this guy. Looked like one of those dandelion seeds minus the fluff and with legs. Ok so it looked nothing like a dandelion seed, but it’s some kind of seed, probably.

A lot of people baby their cameras. Usually I’m one of those people. Today I decided to drown my camera for the sake of this photo. So I let it sit in the rain while some lights were set up and we took photos! Anyways needless to say the 5D was fine.

Camera: Sony Nex-7 with 50mm F1.8 OSS

Strobist Info: A 430EX (@1/2) power with a 36” umbrella behind me, and my brother with a 550EX (@1/32th) power behind the camera to the right of the frame.

I don’t know if you’ve seen my other bird photos but it’s something I like to shoot. The issue is I always see them out my window during breakfast. It’s always awkward when I do because they’re always like eating berries or doing something interesting. Also it’s breakfast and my pants have not gone on so I don’t want to just run out the back yard with a super tele and no pants on. TODAY … was no different I ran up grabbed some shorts and snapped up this photo. The little robin had been around a while eating ALL the golgi berries growing.

Remember that Yashica from 2 days ago? To repair that the camera you see here was sacrificed. It had a wonderfully clear finder unfortunately all the electrics had failed. So I had pulled it’s finder out. The process would be a difficult one. The film advance leaver was jammed onto the camera and I needed pliers to yank it off. The metal top plate was also stuck to the body so it also suffered massive damage.

On the plus side I did yank the lamps off it and put power through. They still work! Not that that’s surprising but still.

Strobist info: Canon 580EX with the foldable softbox the lumiquest LTP to the left of the frame and slightly behind and a Canon 550EX fired bare a few times in for the photo composite to enhance the lens in the photo.

So I did gather 2 of the catfish. I’m putting them in my tank of other naturely things. They’re very small about 2-3 cm.

Bokehrama’s can be tough things to do. They’re even tougher on smaller objects like say a bee. Originally this was planned to be a 10 shot deal but there was a bit of wind and I didn’t think twice to bring my tripod out so combined factors made this only a 3 shot bokehrama. Hopefully the next time till be better.

So if you don’t know pride day is coming up. I wanted to do a photo for it but I was also really peckish and I wanted sweats so I came up with this tasty dish. I went to bulk barn and busted out my phone to check the pride flag colors and a couple bucks in gourmet beans later BAM.

You’ll notice the base of the treats is not jelly beans it’s trail mix. The dish itself has also been raised by about 1 inch to provide a bit of seperation between the plate and the table. You’ll also notice I’ve been using this table a lot and that’s because I like the wood effect.
