So, what will 4 Dollars get you these days?
Off the top of my head, 4 cans of pop, or 2 bags of chips, a few candy bars? The point is not much. Well unless you know where to shop. 4 bucks today bought me a Fuji instax 100 (no film of course, and a damaged battery door but fully working non the less), and a Olympus Camedia C-3030 (and ancient but fun looking little point and shoot with PASM modes O_o)
Each of these were 2 dollars each at Talize (a thrift store up here in canada). 2 dollars. Think about that, what was the last thing you got for 2 bucks? I got an instant camera and a digital one.
Now I know what your thinking “instax? What the hell is that?” Well it’s a japanese polaroid camera to put it shortly and it takes very decent photos. I had already had an instax 100, incidentally also purchased from that very same store, and thats how I know they make good photos. Also look at how much they cost? The 100 is the older version of the instax 210 listed here, and takes the same film. http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/657176-REG/Fujifilm_15950793_Instax_210_Instant_Film.html
Another bonus with the instax 100 film is that unlike the pack film it’s almost an integral pack like the newer generation polaroids (it has a developer and stopper and timer all integrated into the 1 film shot). What this means is non of this peel away stuff I’m doing with my polaroid land 180
Cheers.
