Adventuring in Toronto today specifically the Kensington market with my friend Jeff Tam and my brother Anthony. I never knew how busy the place was, constantly bustling with life and things, mostly legal, and some it seems. Less than so (I’m talking about the pot smoking).

It became very apparent that I forgot how to use my M8 today. I had knocked the shutter dial out of a mode onto 1/2000 so it stood there for the whole time and since the aperture is a ring and I had set the iso to auto the camera kind of went into a funky Auto-ISO mode and for the most part had to keep the camera at 640ISO and up. IN CRAZY SUNLIGHT.

So I was out in Toronto today with my brother Anthony and my friend Tyler. We were out for a shoot around the area. Everyone else though seemed very un-pleased to be out at all. Everyone pretty well wore this face. I’m calling it Rain face. It’s the face you make when you think the weather is out to get YOU personally. Everyone was pretty moany and complainy today and this was their face. It was like if Hitler had just kicked his dog and slashed his tires and he’s just thinking “Why?!”.

I like this face. I think we were probably the only people out without this face on but it makes for good photos.

Went to shoot the toronto sky line with some buddies. Was a good day. Anyways this was the result. Water is semi-glass like and pretty rainbowesque. I like rainbows.

In downtown today doing some shooting on the streets of toronto. It was a freezing cold day so I only shot a new photos. Anyways I don’t always see people smoking pipes so I kinda took this as an open chance. The other thing is that I wanted to test out my new instant uploading system so I could upload my photo of the day where ever I was given an internet connection. I however ran into a terrible issue, my tablet does not have a raw converter and before I started shooting I THOUGHT I put my M8 to shoot raw + Jpegs. I did not soooo that didn’t work.

Thats right! More street shooting by me. Sorry if your not a fan. I just find that I can take to the streets and come back with a photo I like. This one was on Queen street across from Downtown camera. The background is a church. And I believe this man is involved in film, it looks like he’s resting a mic on the left. Also the 16:9 ratio is pretty.

More photos from my after work escapades. I was working in down town Toronto today and decided afterwords I was going to have a bit of a walk around (Its not every day I get free parking in the heart of Toronto, and I felt I deserved it for driving in Toronto). Oh free life tip, if you ever have the chance to drive in down town Toronto on a week day don’t. Let me suggest something more fun, like swallowing sewing needles, or getting shot in the genitals.

I almost lost my point, I was walking and noticed this gent taking a seat and so I took his photo. The end.

Oh no not the end. I have to mention the samyang 85 f1.4 is a remarkable lens. Sharp wide open, decently contrasty (not better than the 6x more pricey canon 85L or nikon 85G, but staggeringly good otherwise). The focus ring is well damped with a huge throw distance (some might not like this but I LOVE IT TO PIECES). Couple that with the precision focusing screen and you have a match made in heaven.

Warmth (9/365)

I was out in Toronto again. Hanging out with my friend who runs this blog http://sinsintome.tumblr.com . Anyways it’s getting cold out now and I guess I haven’t really paid much attention to the homeless (yes, that sounds terrible but I’m being honest here) but you can see this person here is sitting on a grate that’s blowing out heated air. There were a lot of homeless doing this. It’s always amazing sometimes what you see on the street.
